Class 4 licence course
This course is designed for individuals who are desiring to drive Heavy rigid truck with a gross laden weight of more than 18,000kg without having to wait 6 months from the time a Class 4 Learner Licence is obtained.
This includes trucks carrying loads such as fertilizer and other bulk trucks, concrete mixer trucks, waste, refuse and recycling trucks and much more.

Steps to get Class 4 Licence
You must have held you’re a full Class 2 Full license for at least 6 month (if you are under 25 years old) or at least 3 month (if you are older than 25 years old) before you can obtain Class 4 Learner license.
There is NO Computer theory test to complete.
- Once your compulsory waiting period is over you can go to your local licensing station (AA, VTNZ, VINZ) and fill in (DL1) application form and apply at for your Class 4 Learner license.(applications are available at any licensing station)

- Once you obtain you Class 4 Learner Driver Licence Contact Safe Driver Training for your NZTA approved Class 4 Licence course.
On successful completion of this course you will get following
- You will receive a NZTA course certificate to show that you completed the course that you are going to exchange for FULL Class 4 Driver Licence at your local licensing Agent (e.g. AA, VTNZ or VINZ)
- 7 credits registered to your NZQA Record of Achievements for completing US 17576
- 5 credits registered to your NZQA Record of Achievements for completing US 24089* (may not be required depending on previous courses completed)
- Mito Study guide for Unit Standard 17576 & 24089
